Chris Morrison is the proprietor of Morrisons Saddlery. A qualified saddler, he has worked in the industry for over 30 years. In 1981, Chris started out in business in his own account as Tinwald Saddlery. In 1999 an opportunity came to purchase Peter Cates Ltd Saddlery Division on West St, Ashburton, so Chris and his late wife Suzie moved Tinwald Saddlery into Cates' building and the two saddlery's merged into one to become Morrisons Saddlery.

Chris and his staff of 4 have been born and bred around horses. The saddlery services Mid Canterbury's equestrian needs. On the racing side of things, we have a client base thoughout New Zealand via mail order and we service Amberley to Oamaru with our trucks monthly stable visits. Chris also exports his famous horse covers to Australia and the United States of America.
